Boss

Well, most of the blogs are all about the kids, the way it should be, but this one is about me. It has really taken a week for this to really sink in, but I got a promotion at work. I got promoted to supervisor, so I now will have people work for me. This is new for me, but Zayne is loving it--he calls me boss all the time now. He just thinks he is so funny, but like I said, it has taken a week to sink in. I am a little concerned about one of the girls that I will be supervising--doesn't really come from the same work background I do--this I will have to thank my dad for. When I started working for him he told me the answers are not going to find me sitting behind a computer, I am going to have to go find them. Well, she thinks they will find her--things we will just work through. I also had a hard time, because with the economy going the way it is, raises and bonuses are canceled and I know people who have been laid off, still not working and here I am getting a promotion--just kind of makes it hard to be happy. Right now I am taking one step at a time and taking everything in stride. This is going to be a fun challenge and good learning experience for me. Well that is enough about me--Kyle turned 13 this weekend. Can anyone believe that, because I sure can't. Well, we decided to take him to the lake for his birthday during Spring Break. It hasn't rained so the lake was too low for the Jet Skis, then to top it off, it rained the whole time and still couldn't go. Oh well, it was nice to spend time together. I will post some pictures later. On side notes--my cousin's baby got to go home, yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! And my niece started to walk!!!!!!!! So amongst all this dismay in the "financial" world the babies in our lives can still bring happiness.

What a weekend

What a full weekend we have, and yes we have some pictures. We watched Angela Friday night, the girls are really staring to play with each other. They are really cute too--Kamryn is getting better about sharing, but she still has her moments. They even layed down in bed together for a little while.

On Saturday we took Kyle and Kamryn the Livestock show. She really liked the moo cows, she didn't want to stop looking at them. There was a sheep that kept baahhing, she didn't like that. We went into the petting zoo area, she didn't know what to think. Kyle would feed the animals and one jumped up on him. She kept yelling at it to get down please. Then one came up behind her and nibbled on her shirt, she told him to stop. She really didn't get too scared, just thought it was funny. She really go wore out on Saturday, she fell asleep in her stroller and then again after we got dinner and came home.

Then on Sunday we got together with the family for the March "K" birthdays. Aunt Kathy, Kerry and Kyle--busy month down here, Angela's is at the end. We have a new addition too, my cousin's baby boy--Logan. The girls again got together pretty well, and brother was enjoying the big 13. Unfortunately I only got one picture of one of the birthday group. I will have to do better next time.

More Lady Godiva

Okay, we are really going to have our hands full. Kamryn likes to be a naked girl. When she gets undressed she runs around the house saying naked girl. Then when I picked her up from school today I walked in and she is wearing some big white T-shirt, I am thinking "why". Well, the shirt she wore today had snaps up the front, so you know what our darling daughter was doing? You guessed it, taking her shirt off. Lately she had been unsnapping her pants, she was already starting to outgrow them so we put her last 3 outfits with snaps on the legs away. I guess now we also need to be careful of the shirts she wears--or at least make sure she has shirts under them. So, as I said in the beginning--she is not even 2 yet and I can already tell we are in for trouble. On a side note--my cousin had her baby today. She had a 5 pound 5 ounce baby boy--no name yet. Yeah Kristen--welcome to motherhood.

Lady Godiva in training

My grandma Hoose is somewhere smiling down at me with my daughter's latest. Actually, since I am convinced my grandmother is my daughter's ghost, she was probably sitting there in her room laughing at me. Back story: When I was younger my grandmother would call me Lady Godiva since I would not wait for the bathroom, I would just change in the middle of the kitchen when I was done swimming. Of course I did grow out of this, but somehow it took longer to outgrow my "nickname". Apparently Lady Godiva would ride her horse naked through London. Well last night before I went to bed I checked on Kamryn one last time, and why did I find my daughter naked in her bed--she at least still had her diaper on. I went in there and I thought something looked strange, because I didn't see the pink of her pajamas--it was because she wasn't wearing them. I stood there for a minute and just kind of laughed and remembered the "Lady Godiva" days. I almost left her like that, but it was going to get really cold last night and even though she managed to keep one foot in her pajamas--I figured she needed more warmth than that.
