Memorial Day

Memorial Day was spent at GG and GGP's this year. We weren't sure if it was going to happen because GGPa is still recovering from surgery, but Zayne and I got there bright and early and assured we would take care of it, GGPa was under strict don't pick up anything orders. I think it worked and it turned out nice. Kamryn was loving the pool, Angela not so much. As a side note, GGPa is doing really well, more tired then he would like--but recovering well.
Below are some pool pictures of Zayne, Kyle, Kamryn and Angela

Family Reunion

Zayne's family (Dad's side) has had a family reunion for years--places have changed and dates have changed, but same growing family getting together. As my previous blog it was iffy about us making it, but we did. It was really nice, and the kids enjoyed it. It is nice to spend the day with family, catch up on the latest and talk about "the old days". Even though I have been with Zayne for 18 years (can you believe that) each year I hear something new. There is a creek for the kids and lots of trails--Kyle enjoyed these, and he got to bring a friend this year. Kamyrn got to go down to the creek once and play in the sand. Kamryn got a great little patio set for her birthday (thanks to Uncle Jon, Aunt Jenny and Keelan), it was a great hit at the reunion. Kamryn was her typical shy self, but found a new friend in cousin Dakota (Zayne's niece). We have a few pics of the kids and some of the the family. The reunion is normally 3 days, we only made it for one this year--maybe more next year.

Wish we had a camera handy

The things mothers (parents) will do. Kamryn is apparently getting sick. It started yesterday morning on the way to Zayne's family reunion (blog will follow later). We were about half way there and Kamryn started coughing and choking, she wasn't eating anything so we were a little confused. Well then lunch from the day before came up no longer confused. We try to pull over, before we could she throws up again. While we are pulled over I realize we left a box of the food home, so now we try to decide go home and get it or stop at a Wal-Mart. We stop at Wal-Mart, we pull in the parking lot and here she comes again. I go into Wal-Mart and get the food and get her a new change of clothes. We think she is good, something didn't agree so we go on to the reunion. She was her usual shy, but started to play with Danny and Julie, so we thought things were good, even though she really wouldn't eat or drink anything yesterday--Till this morning. She was sitting with Zayne and wanted some juice, thought this was a good sign until it came back up. She follows me around saying something, but couldn't quite understand what. We thought she was saying "shower time" but not sure. I sit down on the couch and have her face me to try and talk to her. As I am starting to ask her she throws on me--literally all over me. Right into my face and then it puddled in my lap. All Zayne and I could do was laugh and I am thinking--really? Well we get everything cleaned up and then Kamryn and I took a shower--we will now see how the rest of the day goes. She seems happy again, for now. What we endure as parents, I have throw up all over my face (luckily all she had up to this point was juice) and down my front and still all we are concerned about was Kamryn.

Strawberry Festival

For those of you who don't know, the company that dad works for sells strawberries at the Strawberry Festival in Pasadena every year. When I was younger (not that much younger) I used to work at them, it paid for my prom dress one year. Well now, my son gets to help out and I get to be a spectator. We took mom for the first time this year too, we also had Angela since Tricia was working this year. The girls had fun together, they went to the petting zoo, rode horses and rode a train. Kamryn was not sure about the animals in the petting zoo, it didn't help that two of the goats locked horns and fought over the food. It was hot, so we got slushies to share, well most of us shared--Kamryn is still working on that. There are some pictures below, none of Kyle--but he was working hard earning him some bucks! Apparently he was giving pops hourly updates of what he was earning.

She started to warm up them.

She did like riding the horses
Angela enjoyed the horses too

My Pancake

Kamryn loves pancakes, one of the first food items she actually asked for by name. Some of our St. Louis crowd can recall our last meal before coming home when we stopped at Cracker Barrel, Kamryn was not shy about wanting her pancakes. Well, it is one thing to request pancakes at Cracker Barrel, it is another at a Mexican Restaurant. Even though it was rather cute. Since church is not really all that close to home, while Kyle is in confirmation Zayne, Kamryn and I will either do some errands or eat. This past Wednesday we decided to eat at the Mexican restaurant down the street. Zayne and I get fajitas and Kamryn just kind of picks at our food. We gave her a flour tortilla and some rice--she didn't want any chicken. Zayne gets a tortilla for himself and Kamryn starts throwing fit (dinners may be getting scarce soon). She starts yelling mine and getting upset. We didn't know what she wanted at first, then she started yelling my pancake. Zayne and I look at each other a little confused, and then we figure it out. She thinks the flour tortilla is a pancake. We both just had to laugh and then that distracted her. Sorry been slow blogging lately, we are going to the Strawberry Festival tomorrow so we should have pictures next week. On side note, I know Jenny mentioned GGPa and his surgery--well, it looks like he is going home today. We are well on the road of a long recovery!
