Trip to St. Charles

The weekend after Easter, Kamryn and I took a "girls weekend" and went to St. Charles. My cousin is getting married in June and he and his new bride so graciously asked Kamryn to be their flower girl. I had decided when they asked I wanted to try to the best of my ability to make it to Amanda's bridal shower. Thankfully it all worked out and they had the shower the weekend after Easter. Kamryn was so excited about the plane trip, and since IAH is starting to get on the complex side she even got to ride a train. So, it was planes, trains and automobiles. She did so good over the weekend and I was so glad we made the trip. Kamryn was actually born on my cousin's birthday, so they have that special birthday bond too. She was not sure about Brian and Amanda at first, but anyone who will color with her is her new best friend. Unfortunately not a lot of pics, we are going back next month for another one of my cousin's graduations, more pictures of the whole family then.

Amanda and her cake, it was a very nice cake!!
Kamryn loves helping to cook, so Sunday morning her and Aunt Pam made eggs.
Thank you to Uncle Jim and Aunt Pam for the rides and letting us stay at your house. I also need to send out a thank to my Aunt Claudia, she let us use a car seat so we didn't need to worry about packing ours--HUGE help and greatly appreciated. Looking forward to seeing everyone in May, can't believe the last Hake in my generation is graduating High School, I know I am not getting older so I don't understand how all my little cousins can be graduating and getting married. I even have some with who have babies of their own!!!!!!!!!!!

Easter Weekend

I know we are a little behind, so first up Easter weekend. It was such a nice weekend and almost all of us got to be there (we missed you sis Amanda). Zayne had to work on Saturday, so we thought it would be nice for Keelan to visit the fire trucks (Kamryn is always a go for that). So up to the station we went. The girls loved it, I didn't get a lot of pictures though (will have to snag some of Jenny's). I did get one of them on the top of the truck, until Kamryn decided it was too high and she had enough. I am not sure who enjoyed it more though, my brother or the girls. It was really neat and a lot of fun. The kids and I go up quite a bit, but to see it through the eyes of others was pretty neat.

That night mom had us over for dinner and gave the kids their Easter gifts. They each got some bubbles, so that was the hit for the rest of the night, Pops even got in on the action.

Then later it was the girls favorite part of the night--bath time. We were standing watching over (more to contain mess if anything) and Jenny said "a blond, a brunette and a red head in a tub--there has to be a joke somewhere in this" it was pretty funny. They are going to be 3 that we are REALLY going to need to keep an eye on when they get older.

After bath, jammies and then somewhat of sleep--big day tomorrow---Easter. So, we all went down and went to church with GG and GGPa. The girls did great (may have something to do with the fact we kept them separated, not sure). Then we were off to GG and GGPa's house for an Easter egg hunt and lunch. Kyle was in charge of "hiding" the eggs, I had to keep reminding him of the age of the seekers. Well apparently, his sister is a bit competitive (wonder where she gets that) and off she went to capture all the eggs. We finally had to stear her away from the eggs to give the other ones a chance. It was all very cute and I think they had a great time. Thank you GG and GGP for the beautiful outfits and opening your home to us for the wonderful holiday!!!!

Easter bunny came to visit during the night

And they are off
Kyle trying to help Kamryn (but as we found out--she doesn't need help)
Out of my way, I am off to find eggs!
Look what I got mom (mom is thinking what an egg hog)
The funny thing about the egg hunt, Kamryn came out with the probably the most eggs; however, did not hit big on the money ones. There was money in about 12 eggs, Kamryn came away with about 3 or 4, so hopefully those got more evenly distributed. Kamryn really didn't care what was in the egg--she just wanted them all. Logan, you need to practice up for next year--give these girls a run for their money, make them work for those eggs!!!!!
