Yeah Ears

Today was a good visit, ears are clear. Now, if we can keep them clear for the next month we just may be out of the clear. Apparently this is high season for ear infections, so lets keep our fingers crossed. If we can keep the ears cleared for the about the next 4-6 weeks, we shouldn't have to put the tubes back in. They are still in her ears, just slowly coming out. We have an appointment in April and hopefully either the tubes have finished coming out on their own, or they will be close enough for the doctor to pull them out. She said right now they are too close to her membranes for her to pull them out. Kyle did good at his first race, the 100 meter dash. Kamryn was getting crabby so I had to take her home. Zayne stayed to watch his second race, which will be the 200 meter dash. Kyle is opposite of him mom, I was able to pace myself for long races, but couldn't sprint. He is the opposite, he starts out so fast he doesn't last too long. Hopefully here shortly I will have more time for blogging and posting pictures. It has been really bad at work lately. Closing the books at year end is bad, our quarterly global overhead charges are bad enough and the global budget is the pits. Now, try doing all of it within one month with your co-worker out on maternity leave--NO FUN. She comes back March 9, I think I have already decided to take vacation the end of that week, after all it is Kyle's birthday. I know work is bad and they canceled all our raises, but I guess at this point I need to be thankful I have a job. Oh, check it out, my cousin is about to have her baby and she started a blog so we can keep posted!!!!!

Ears Ears Easrs

Well as most of you know about a year ago we put tubes in Kamyrn's ears, they should last about 6 to 12 months, fall out and then everything should be fine. But of course there is nothing normal about my daughter. Shortly after the beginning of the year Kamryn had bunches of "gunk" coming out of her right ear and they smelled like dirty feet. We didn't think much of it, but I called and talked to the nurse. She said bring her in, so we did. Another ear infection, that is what I thought the tubes were for. The left ear was coming out and no infection; however, the right ear still had its tube and an infection. So we got some antibiotics and went home. Went the next week for a check up--still infection, more antibiotics and send us on our way. Went back after 10 went back again and guess what--still infection. Now we have moved into the shot stage and a trip back to the specialist, this brings us to last week. We went to her specialist, the right tube is still there but has moved--apparently not a good thing, oh and by the way still an infection. So another shot and another visit this morning, now to see if we need to go back for surgery. I was optimistic; however, the last couple of days she has been itching and grabbing her right ear, we will see what happens. I will let you know!!! As for her brother, Kyle has a track meet tonight-wish him luck.

Humble Cook Off

I am a little late getting to this, but we had a cook off a couple of weekends ago. Zayne has been involved with a cook off team for a little over a year now, and he loves it. We got involved through some friends of ours (and Kyle's old football coach) Mike and Kathy. This past year Kathy decided we needed to start our own team, so now we have a girl cook off team. Zayne is part of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and now I am a member of the Lady Chili Peppers. We really have a lot of fun. I haven't actually started to cook anything yet, but getting the courage up. Zayne cooked chicken and ribs this past cook off, there were about 100 teams, some with multiple turn ins. He didn't place so he was kind of bummed. Below are some pictures of Zayne and the new Lady Chili Peppers team.
