Yes between Kyle and Kamryn we have seen 3 doctors in the last 12 hours.
Last night Kyle had pitching lessons and then was asked to practice with the team. Practice was from 6-8, so I stayed home with Kamryn. I am giving Kamryn a bath and the front door walks in and there is someone walking around the house. I do what everyone does when they think someone has broken into the house, I started yelling hello. Apparently when Kyle went to catch the ball he missed judged and hit his hand. It was swelling up, but EMT dad said lets watch it. Well long story short about 9:00 last night Zayne and Kyle went to the emergency care clinic down the street. Kyle has a fractured hand.
Today was Kamryn's scheduled appointments with her ENT doctor and the ped. Her ears look great and the tubes had fallen out of place but were laying there in her ear canal, so the doc took her "little" tool and pulled them out. Kamryn did so good--she had no idea what was coming up.
We went across the hall for her 2 year check up. She is on the same curve path she has been on: 25% on height and head and 50% on weight. She is cleared on all foods now, so peanut butter and honey here we come. She seems to be on all her milestones and doing good, doctor said we can even venture potty training since she is starting to talk about it. Then came the tears, they just kept poking poor Kamryn.
We got one shot today and found out we are shot clear until 4--YEAH!!!!!!!!! Finally got her calmed down from the shot, and it is time for torture number 2. The last couple of days after bath she has been complaining her pee pee hurts, so because of her history here we go again with the catheter (her absolute favorite). Unfortunately we need to make sure because until we know her "tube" has corrected itself UTI's can lead to kidney infections very quickly. Okay, finally settled down and we even fooled her by going downstairs; however, there is one more prick in store for her. Since she is taking daily antibiotics they need to check her blood, to check the cell count and to make sure she is not becoming anemic. She really was a trooper, she is such a mixture of her mom and dad--she wanted to watch like her dad and then screamed like her mom (mom HATES needles).
The good side to all this, she scored a bunch of new stickers today!!!!! She also gets to spend the afternoon home with dad. I talked to Zayne earlier, and unfortunately it hurts for her to pee right now due to the catheter.
The doctor will let us know if there are any problems with her blood or urine, otherwise we are good for a year.
Yeah!!! Party time on Saturday!!!!!!
